Mary R. Musqua Culbertson Treaty Library & Archives
The Mary R. Musqua-Culbertson Treaty Library and Archives at the Office of the Treaty Commissioner is a collection of books, articles, Treaty oral history recordings, academic theses, and unpublished manuscripts, which have been collected since the creation of the office. With thanks from the CLIR Council for Library and Information Resources.
The OTC believes it is important that communities have access to historical materials on Treaties between Crown and Indigenous Nations to help us all move towards reconciliation and full Treaty implementation.
The library and archives historical materials include resources on Treaties Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Eight, and Ten, as well as Canada’s pre- and post-confederation Treaties. Significant collections include files relating to Treaty Land Entitlement in Saskatchewan, the development of Treaty Education, and Treaty case law.
People can browse and search the collection online through the Saskatchewan Archival Information Network.

Land Acknowledgement
Acknowledging the Numbered Treaties that preceded the province of Saskatchewan: Treaty 4, Treaty 5, Treaty 6, Treaty 7, Treaty 8, & Treaty 10. As we work alongside with the Plains Cree (Nêhiyawak), Nehinuw (Swampy Cree) Nîhithaw (Rock and Woodlands Cree) Anishinaabe (Nahkawininiwak), Nakota, Dakota and Lakota, and Dene (Denesuline) peoples, we try to build relationships based on the principle of miyo-wîcêhtowin.
The mandate of the Office of the Treaty Commissioner (OTC for short) is to facilitate a bilateral process to discuss treaty and jurisdictional issues between Saskatchewan First Nations and the government of Canada, with the government of Saskatchewan present as an observer.
